With these five in-depth tutorial videos, we’ll take you on a tour of Z3TA+ 2’s key features, and show you how to make a selection of specific sounds using Cakewalk’s incredible synthesizer.
In Chapter 1, we begin by initializing the synth and exploring its many presets. Then we move on to the core architecture, comprising well-stocked oscillators, flexible filters and a powerful modulation system. From selecting and warping oscillator waveforms, to routing the filters, setting up the LFOs and envelopes, and assigning sources to targets in the modulation matrix, no stone is left unturned.
With the basics covered, in Chapters 2-5 we program a series of demonstrative presets in Z3TA+2. First, we take on the classic TB-303-style tone, then we cook up a guitar feedback-style sound, followed by a talking synth and a ‘trance chord’ patch. With the last of these, we also run through the process of integrating Z3TA+ 2 with Ableton Live and really bringing its sound to life by automating various of its parameters.
