BFD Oblivion is an expansion for BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2 designed to provide ready-to-use heavy rock and metal drum sounds. The included sounds are inspired by genres like post-metal, sludge, prog-metal and alt-rock and are intended to have the punch to slice through the densest walls of guitars. Based around 3 different versions of a Mapex Orion kit with Mapex brass and Brady jarrah wood snares, each with different degrees of processing, BFD Oblivion also contains cymbals from magesy download Bosphorus, Zildjian and Paiste in natural and processed versions. Crafted by an in-house team obsessed with metal, BFD Oblivion is processed heavily so you don’t have to – just add your hardest guitars and basses to create an authentic foundation for all kinds of rock and metal music.

Real Jazz is an immense collection of over 2,100 actual live, jazz grooves recorded as a real performance on an electronic drum set at specific tempos. Jazz has to swing, and it has to groove — the key is the swing eighth note, which in jazz has a slightly different inflection at different tempos. Each tempo category in Real Jazz was recorded for accuracy to capture the correct relationship of the notes in the swing pattern. With all of the different tempos represented in this collection, it is easy to keep the correct swing feel intact. The MIDI grooves include 2-beats, 3/4, 4/4, 5/4, ballads, and shuffles for both sticks and brushes. Real Jazz even includes some bop and jungle grooves.

The Black Album Drums is a drum library for BFD3 and Kontakt 5.5 (full version) inspired by the drum sound featured on the “Black Album” by Metallica from magesy download 1991: it features the kit played on that record, not just the same model, that exact kit (a 1980 Gretsch with Zildjian cymbals and a Tama Bell Brass snare), 2 snares (we added an extra Ludwig 1970s vintage Black Beauty), dual kicks (L&R), 5 toms, 4 crashes, 1 china and an additional ride cymbal. We approached the production of this library with an enormous amount of respect and love for the sound we wanted to capture: one of the signature sounds of the history of Rock and Metal music. To this extent, we were lucky to track down a large number of information and material regarding the sessions we were inspired by.

Containing meticulous recordings of both a Yamaha Recording Custom and a Birch Custom Absolute kit, BFD Heavy includes 3 kicks, 9 toms and a bonus reduced-detail Yamaha Jimmy Chamberlin steel-shell snare (taken from magesy download BFD Signature Snares Vol.2). Kicks include wood and felt beater versions while the bonus snare and 5 of the included toms are provided in stick and mallet versions. BFD Heavy’s expressive articulations include rim shots and rim clicks on the birch toms and half-edge samples on the bonus snare.
