Evolution Rick 12 captures the iconic jangle of a 12-string electric guitar. We sampled a pristine vintage model, sporting a semi-hollow maple body, rosewood fretboard, and classic high-gain pickups. We developed this library in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah’s most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporates analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the rich tonal qualities of the guitar. While we’ve provided the as-is direct signal of the guitar, we also included an enhanced signal of the guitar as well. Being the default setting, we recommend using this enhanced signal, which increases the richness and sustain of the guitar.

Paradise Marimba, an extensively-sampled five octave marimba with a gorgeous tone. We collaborated with Chris Poehler of Lujon Audio to produce Paradise Marimba. While many other marimba libraries tend to sound very percussive and bright, we specifically selected this marimba for its warm, full sustain. The lowest two octaves of the marimba was so rich-sounding that we sampled it with softer bass marimba mallets as an alternate option to the standard mallets. These bass marimba mallets work excellently for ambient, cinematic music.

This slapped edition expands on the interpretive technology, automating the nuances of slap bass technique. By intelligently tracking the position of the thumb (used for the slap articulation) and the fingers (used for the pop articulation), the CoreBass: Cherry Slapped sample library is able to detect which notes a bassist would slap and which notes to pop. Factors which affect this decision include velocity and speed. When playing CoreBass: Cherry Slapped, the sample library figures out which strings and frets to use. This factor also affects the automatic slap/pop articulation selection.
