The city of Sheffield stars on our cover this issue. Celebrating 20 years of her Monika Enterprise label, we chat to Berlin’s Gudrun Gut about her treasure trove of a new album, ‘Monika Werkstatt’. It’s a record that gathered more than a dozen female electronic artists for a recording session in the rural woodland region of Uckermark, north of Berlin, to deliver some proper sonic riches.

Last but by no means least, New York’s Martin Rev returns, following the sad loss of Suicide partner in crime Alan Vega, with a ninth solo album, this time it’s biographical. We peer at his extraordinary life.
