Solo Woodwinds is the latest a series of acoustic instrument libraries to be released. Included in this 10 CD-ROM set are instruments such as Alto Flute, Flute, Bass Flute, Bass Clarinet, Clarinet, Bassoon, Contra Bassoon, English Horn and Oboe (each instrument occupying one CD of the ten in the library. Designed with an emphasis put on realism and expression, these woodwind samples feature up to 6 sampled velocities per note, with hundreds of samples per several-hundred megabyte instrument patch.
Articulations include:
- NV (Non-Vibrato)
- V (Vibrato, except Clarinet),
- PT (Portato or mezzo-staccato)
- ST (Staccato).
Advanced programming features include:
- Keyswitching
- Mod wheel control fast attack variants
- Mod wheel control slow attack variants
- Ensemble presets (in 5.1 update)
- Individual layer access
- and many other features.
