Alex Spurkel is a dedicated master percussionist, electronic music programmer, and a former member of west coast ensemble Electric Skychurch (featured in Cleopatra Pictures’ techno/house documentary, Better Living Through Circuitry). Alex’s debut sample library, the Electro-World Percussion collection, is a systematic exploration of traditional Middle Eastern rhythms, archived here in a series of performances that are energetic, technically accurate, and well-recorded.
