Conventional instruments sit alongside a selection of cool and quirky sound sources that younger children would love. Melodic lines are supplied by the likes of vibraphone, marimbaphone, xylophone, harmonica, flute and a spieluhr music box with tunes programmed via punch cards. Alongside the ever-happy ukulele, a range of traditional small percussion and claps provide the rhythms, but these are supported by items such as cardboard-box drums and various plastic tools played as percussion.
