Two of the most powerful and balanced active EMG pickups were paired with boutique amps, effects and custom re-amping to achieve a thunderous guitar tone, tailored to cut its way through busy mixes in any genre: cinematic, orchestral and modern rock music in particular.
The banjo is a stringed instrument with, typically, four or five strings, a long fretted neck and a circular drumlike body overlaid with parchment – today drumheads. Content: The structure of EK470 mark2 is based on 2 simultaneous sound slots, each can be feeded with every of the 24 sounds and has separate volume and pan knob. Beside that, the first slot provides an additional -12 to 12 semitones pitch knob. We selected the best 24 sound patches out of 99 available patches the original keyboard provides. We recorded every third minor note, looped the sound and processed it if needed.

The main goal for this library has been to give the user flexibility and freedom while playing. We know that composers usually do not have time to fool around with knobs and buttons, this is why Distort only requires you to load it up and you can immediately start playing. The library is straight-forward, having two “zones” – one with palm mutes, the other one with sustains. The 2600 sample library is based on the ARP 2600P V1.0. All 3 oscillators , waveforms have been sampled chromatically. In addition to the Sine, Triangle, Sawtooth, Square & Pulse waveforms, a range of other settings have been sampled.
In this library you will find a 5 string banjo which has the classic warm tone associated with pre-war banjos as well as an instrument with plenty of punch to cut through a mix. Even though this library is called a Bluegrass sample library, you will find it to be quite flexible across many different musical genres. This library is extremely popular among Bolder Sounds users. We felt by adding new sampled articulations we could make it an even more effective library. The new samples include 4 new pluck positions along the string length of the banjo as well as Scruggs-Keith tuner mechanism samples.
