Over three months, we recorded the sounds of this excellent electric guitar played by a top guitarist using the latest Digidesign ProTools® HD system.

The samples used for the sound sets include analog Pads,Layers,String and Brass Ensembles, Pianos and Synth Leads.
The Virtuoso Series Solo String Library is designed to be an extremely flexible multi-sample collection containing over 500 instruments! The focus is on single, multi-sample notes rather than “riffs” or “phrases”, though some popular arpeggios and scales are included in the solo violin. Most of the articulations are 8 velocity layers deep, and sometimes, as many as 32. With this approach, it’s easy to avoid the “machine gun” or “robotic” curse of most sample libraries when trying to play fast repeated notes. In addition, to maximize the realistic sound of this type of music, release triggers are also used extensively to enable you to play all kinds of repeated notes in all kinds of tempos.

Acoustic Bass Guitar was designed to represent the highest quality instrument, while retaining it’s full playability. We began with the finest electric/acoustic bass guitar; sampled at 24-bit/48kHz chromatically, direct in.The samples were then meticulously edited in Steinberg’s Cubase SX 2 during which no processing of any kind (no EQ, no pitch shift/correcting, no noise-reduction) was applied so that we would be able to offer you the purest audio signal.

The Vienna Concert Guitar is the only one of its kind. This hand-made instrument was specially constructed with an arched back put together from magesy download several pieces of wood. Its balanced, homogeneous sound allows it to stand its ground as a solo instrument as well as in accompaniment. Due to its polyphonic nature, the concert guitar presented a special challenge. Specifically, chords only sounded authentic when the chords themselves were sampled! After a three year production cycle for the orchestral sample libraries, the Vienna Symphonic Library team felt ready to take up this challenge, capturing all of the concert guitar’s versatility and its many playing techniques.The samples were “tamed” and made reproducible with the help of the Vienna Symphonic Librarys unique Performance Tool. The Vienna Concert Guitar became a reality through a combination of individual prerequisites: The project’s godfather, Thomas Meitz, in the framework of his concert guitar diploma, spent 1 1/2 years on developing the Library’s structure. Due to his practical background as a recording engineer and chief editing engineer of the Vienna Symphonic Library, he was able to realize his concept optimally and without compromise.
