The “Ancient Belle Glockenspiel” is an Instrument Sample Library for Native Instruments’ Kontakt 5. The Bell is a member of the metallophone-family and in regard of its size it is like the bigger sister of the Glockenspiel. The Bell is well known as an instrument used by marching bands to accompany the high flutes or the Lyra. While the Lyra is carried on a staff, sounding like a Glockenspiel, the Bell is played like a Vibraphone hanging in front of the player.

Teponaztli Log Drum & HueHuetl Drum- Aztec drums. The Teponaztli log drum and HueHuetl skin drums were the main percussion instruments of the pre-columbian Aztecs. Smaller Huehuetl was originally hung from magesy download the shoulder and brought into battle, and struck with the hand. Larger one’s were used in ceremonies including human sacrifices; often with the teponaztli. After the Spanish conquered Mexico, legend has it that the huehuetl was outlawed by the Spanish, who feared the battle drums — punishment was cutting off of the offending hand. Years later, when the drum was allowed again, the legend continues, players struck them with sticks, in memory of those who lost hands in the past.
