BFD Stanton Moore Cymbals is an expansion pack for BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2 with stunning recordings of Bosphorus cymbals. As well as being a founder member of New Orleans funk band Galactic, Stanton Moore has worked with artists as diverse as Tom Morello, Robert Walter, Corrosion of Conformity and Joss Stone. BFD Stanton Moore Cymbals brings the entire Bosphorus Stanton Moore signature cymbal range to your sessions – 4 crashes (with additional mallet versions), 2 rides and a hihat – all recorded in pristine detail by sampling guru John Emrich.
BFD Black Album Drums is an expansion pack for BFD3 inspired by the drum sound featured on the 1991 “Black Album” by Metallica. Produced and recorded by Chocolate Audio (the team behind Imperial and Modern Retro) and featuring the exact same 1980 Gretsch kit that was played on the album along with Zildjian cymbals, a Tama Bell Brass snare and a Ludwig snare. This pack captures one of the signature sounds in the history of Rock music.
BFD Yamaha Maple Custom Absolute is an expansion for BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2 containing a versatile Yamaha maple drumkit. Warm, refined and one of the most advanced kits ever made by Yamaha, the Maple Custom Absolute is perfect for all genres of music, especially pop, indie, rock, jazz, classic metal, fusion and many more. A bonus reduced-detail Yamaha fibreglass snare (taken from magesy download BFD Signature Snares Vol.1) is also included. BFD Maple Custom Absolute is recorded in similar studio conditions as BFD Percussion, other FXpansion Yamaha-based expansions such as BFD Oak Custom and the Mapleworks kits in BFD3.
BFD Swan Percussion is an expansion pack for BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2 with innovative percussion instruments and a suite of Crescent effect cymbals. Swan Percussion’s original creations are inspired by a variety of world percussion. The ‘Black Swan Drum’ is a new take on the Ghanaian Gombe framedrum featuring a tom head. Other highlights include the ‘Swango’, a reinterpretation of the bongos, the Afro-Cuban Batá-style ‘Batudu’ and a variety of shakers and cajons. The included set of Crescent Haptic series effect cymbals provide characterful crash, resonator, crash china and ride china cymbal sounds.
BFD Sphere is a hard rock and metal expansion pack for BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2. Conceived as Kahney’s ideal drum sound, the pack was recorded with Francesco Cameli (Bullet For My Valentine, Queen, Phil Collins, New Model Army and more) at London’s Sphere Studios before its relocation. The pack includes high-detail 4-tom DW and Vibe kits alongside a Ludwig Black Beauty snare. Drums were tuned to complement the acoustics of Sphere’s live room and were hit by Jamie Postones (Tesseract) and Mike Malyan (Monuments) – highly skilled drummers well respected for bringing a new force to modern drumming. Neve preamps were used throughout for warmth and definition. As well as the natural kits, BFD Sphere comes with additional processed versions designed to be dropped straight into metal and hard rock mixes. All kits feature presets in BFD3, BFD Eco and BFD2 formats with factory cymbals and hihats. Please note that the included snare features Hit and Rimshot articulations only.

Sonica’s Japanese Taiko Percussion is an authentic library of taiko sounds for BFD3 and BFD2 which perfectly captures the earth-shaking bass and pure percussive power of Japanese taiko drums. JTP is perfect for traditional Japanese music, soundtrack work and any other genres that require dynamic, huge-sounding percussion. The instruments are played by Ikki Hino, leader of Wataiko Ikki, a world-renowned taiko performance group, and recorded by Tomzuin H, a sound designer and composer who previously produced sample libraries such as the FUEL series. JTP’s sounds and performances are uncompromising in their authenticity and perfectly capture the sheer energy of taiko drums.

It features a variety of meticulously sampled classics, prototypes and one-offs from magesy download the Sabian archives and is suitable for all styles of music. BFD Sabian Digital Vault includes HHX and AAX series favourites alongside unique stacked cymbal setups, esoteric percussion cymbals and 4 hyper-detailed hihats. Selected instruments are also presented in mallet and brush versions. Recordings were conducted by sampling guru John Emrich with an emphasis on inspiring new and exciting cymbal parts.
BFD Vintage Recording Techniques is an expansion pack for BFD3 that uses a variety of vintage microphone techniques to capture a beautiful Ludwig Classic Maple drum kit. The result is a selection of familiar, authentic vintage sounds suitable for rock, pop, blues and more. Our engineers used world renowned drum recording techniques including ORTF, Glyn Johns, and Blumlein. Direct microphones were expertly placed on all kit pieces to ensure the pack has a wide range of mixing possibilities and can deliver authentic drum sounds from magesy download vintage to modern.
