The Demo shows the vocals against a track, but there is NO INSTRUMENTATION in this release. These are acapella vocals only in the key of D minor, at 128 bpm. “Drums, drums and MORE drums! As producers, we all know drum breaks are one of our main sources of inspiration. Those moments when the needle touches the vinyl, you hear a song, and all of a sudden, a solo drum performance happens! The dirtier & more texturized, the better. Here, I’ve created a set of drum breaks for my fellow producers to loop, chop, eq, layer, hack & draw inspiration from, as I do. All 30 drum break loops are played by me, using a combination of live drum sets, transient effects & hardcore audio design & sound manipulation to deliver true punch, grit & vinyl DIRT. Each of the 11 breaks are broken out in up to 9 versions. Each break has a “full kit” version and additional versions such as “no hats”, “percussion only”, “no snare”, “kick and snare only”, “with tape hiss”, “percussion and hats only” etc. etc. This unique take on the breaks and various versions is very inspiring in terms of sparking the creative juices. It’s like finding breaks on vinyl and having the recording engineer from magesy download that recording session pull up the tape and break down the recording session for you to take and feed your sampler. These breaks were expertly recorded and dropped to reel to reel tape for an authentic tape warmth and saturation. In addition to the breaks, we’ve included a stash of “one shots and patterns”. The “one shots and patterns” folder includes 60 samples of various kicks, snares, hats, percussion, congas and more.
