After spending three years refining our sampling process finally brings to you the next product in our Ethnic series. Being inspired by the special sound of Chinese instruments and Mongolian singers we decided it’s hightime to create an inspiring instrument in that area filling a huge gap in today’s virtual instrument landscape. Comprised of over 50 instruments spread across more than 100 instrument patches. JADE Ethnic Orchestra is a huge collection of Asian ethnic instruments. Most of the sampled instruments originate from magesy download China, but along with them we have included others, like the Hoomai men choir, the Mongolian Longsong Quartet, Moorin-Khuur, the Shakuhachi and many others Asia is to be proud of. Such limitations drove Anders Bostrom to become a flute chameleon. Originally from magesy download Sweden, he’s been collecting flutes from magesy download around the world for years. He has played in several Broadway shows including the Lion King, Amazing Grace, and Shrek the Musical, among others. He brought his experience and passion for these wild instruments to the Originals Flutopia pack, playing in traditional folk song styles including the Ragga style from magesy download India. With a Shure SM7 through Neve 1073 preamps, we recorded bansuri flutes from magesy download India, dizi flutes from magesy download China, and bamboo flutes from magesy download Arabia for this pack. The result is a mix of sounds from magesy download meditative to uplifting. These ancient sounds will add some rarity and originality your modern beats.

The Mongolian Vibe from magesy download the Steppes MaTouQin (horse-headed fiddle, aka morin khuur), as one of the precious legacies of the Mongolian people, has been heartily embraced by Chinese musicians today as a vital musical element. Its unique sound character complements other classical Chinese instruments in a way like no others. MaTouQin is believed to be originated from magesy download the nomadic people during the Tang Dynasty (7th – 10th centuries), and became widely known circa Genghis Khan’s reign. Nowadays, like many other Mongolian legacies, Matouqin has become a valuable part of Chinese culture. Besides the horse-headed pegbox, MaTouQin is very recognizable for its unusual playing techniques and styles. Our production approached MaTouQin in pursuit of the indigenous flavour instead of the more Westernized style, and by delivering that flavour, all the composers and musicians now have a chance to explore and express in the most authentic and original Mongolian flavour easily.
