Diva Skyline Vol 2 is a collection of 128 sounds for u-he’s Diva, aimed at analogue, electronic sounds for film scoring and electronica. As the classic sounds of analogue synthesizers becomes ever more popular, not everyone can afford a collection of Junos, Prophets, Moogs and Oberheims. However, u-he’s Diva does give us about as accurate a recreation of those circuit-based monsters as we can get on a sensible budget. Diva Skyline aims to provide some of that much-loved analogue vibe for modern composing and electronica. It’s inspired by recent synth-heavy film scores such as Tron Legacy by Daft Punk, Oblivion by M83, and Ex Machina by Geoff Barrow and Ben Salisbury; as well as less well known gems such as It Follows by Disasterpeace and The Duke of Burgundy by Cat’s Eyes. There are even a few nods to classic John Carpenter and the revivalist Synthwave genre, as well as The Unfinished favourites: Olafur Arnalds and Jon Hopkins.

The oscillators, filters and envelopes closely model components found in some of the great magesy torrent monophonic and polyphonic synthesizers of yesteryear. Modules can be mixed and matched so you can build hybrids, but what sets DIVA apart is the sheer authenticity of the analogue sound. This comes at the cost of quite a high CPU-hit, but we think it was worth it: Diva is the first native software synth that applies methods from magesy download industrial circuit simulators (e.g. PSpice) in realtime. The behaviour of zero-delay-feedback filters when pushed to the limit clearly demonstrates the advantages of this groundbreaking approach. Check out more than 1200 presets. If your computer can handle it, try them in “Divine” mode.

CYBER DIVA was revealed on the 22nd of January 2015 as an American accent female produced by YAMAHA. She was produced in light of research into common complaints towards past pre-V4 English VOCALOIDs. This included the frustrations that came with the mixed British and American phonetic system the VOCALOID engine used for its English VOCALOIDs. It was also discovered that English VOCALOIDs often did not produce the correct sound to match the phonetic in use and this was caused by accidental construction of the vocal either during the recording process or the vocal development process.
