Camea Hoffman – who performs as Camea – is best known for her hypnotic, floor-grinding techno and house DJ sets. Getting her start as a rave DJ in Seattle’s late-90s underground scene, her journey has led her to Brooklyn’s clandestine techno scene, and ultimately to Berlin where she runs her own imprint and podcast called Neverwhere. Her sound as a producer has been described as dystopian techno and sci-fi house, but Camea is careful to avoid genre identities and instead, follows her intuition when working through ideas.
