Calling on the spirit of 1960s folk-revival protest music, 1970s-era outlaw country, and the deep-rooted influences of early American music, Magesy® Originals: Cosmic Americana captures a psychedelic and pop take on country music. With psychedelic, indie-folk, R&B, and lo-fi elements, these sounds are primed for cross-pollination with pop, hip hop, and electronic genres. Top players came together in Nashville to carefully record vintage instruments, collaborating with artists at various locations across the U.S. Producer, multi-instrumentalist, and sound designer, Ben Bromley produced this pack. He is the co-founder of NewVillager and has been a touring member of Santigold, Phosphorescent, and Fischerspooner. It’s been a long ride with the ever-pulsating brain at the centre of the Ultraworld we know as The Orb. Alex Paterson has steered his cosmic vehicle through several decades of sound, so much so that their ineffable mix of influences has become a genre unto itself.
