AQUIVER now delivers 1000 powerful, deep and soaring granular sounds and weights around 4GB. It is powered by a custom granular engine that can play hundreds of small grains of audio with no huge CPU impact. AQUIVER is ideal for movie scoring, underscore and futuristic sound design. It features realtime recording of knob movements, a FX engine with bread-and-butter effects and a unique lock switch. Using that, you can skip through instruments while locking the current settings in place. Perfect for trying out different sounds without loosing current knob and/or effect settings. A new volume knob with motion recording has been added as well as the possibility to now play back motion recordings in ping-pong (forward/backward) mode for smoother transitions.

In this course, by synth expert, you learn everything you need to master Reason 10’s Grain Sample Manipulator synth. Listen closely, because this synth is truly amazing… and a lot of fun! Rishabh starts with an overview of the user interface, where you discover how the instrument is laid out. Next, you learn how to load samples, how to set up the root key, and how the different playback modes work. In the next section, Rishabh explains the differences between the four playback algorithms: Tape, Long Grains, Grain Oscillator, and Spectral Grains. Continuing with the course, you also get a solid understanding of the oscillator, filter, amp, modulation, and effect sections. The course concludes by putting everything you learned together in an otherworldly sound design workshop!

Microcosm is a collection of long (10-60 sec) evolving textures created using a combination of additive and granular synthesis. By using both additive and granulation synthesis we were able to really focus on creating evolving elements in the frequency and time domain — this allowed us to explore changing harmonic structure and discrete granular properties simultaneously — the result of this exploration is textures that have the harmonic sweeps from magesy download additive and the distinct particulated sound from magesy download granulation synthesis. This collection was primarily created on Symbolic Sound’s Kyma System.
