We recorded the Turkish ‘Baglama’ and electric guitars played by the very gifted Omri Zelig. Over the course of many hours we recorded various styles and rhythms making this sound pack as accessible to many genres of music production as we could. The Baglama (also known as ‘Saz’) has Persian/Turkish origins and is commonly used in Ottoman classical music, Turkish folk music, Azerbaijani music, Kurdish music, Armenian music and in parts of Syria, Iraq and the Balkan countries.               ‘Vintage Disco Guitars’ features an impeccable collection of dry electric guitar loops and one-shots, a studio guitarist whose album credits include funk & disco legends Odyssey, Incognito and Yam Who. ‘Vintage Disco Guitars’ includes an assortment of Nile Rodgers style chord progressions, muted funk riffs and lead guitar hooks which are perfect for disco, house and soul producers. Two guitars were used to capture these samples: a timeless single-coil Fender USA Stratocaster and a PRS S2 Mira with Humbucker pickups. All recorded through a Fender blues junior and a Universal Audio 6176 channel strip, famed for its vintage warm tone. Classic pedals used include a Budda Wah Mk1 and an Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer.
