      The Metasonix S-1000 Wretch Machine is the only commercially available synthesizer to use gas-tube oscillators as the fundamental sound source. This technology predates most of the recognized synthesis advancements of the 20th century, and was abandoned in favor of integrated circuits. The waveforms generated by these gas-filled wonders of yesterday are a beauty unto themselves – wildly variable, inherently unique, and filled with atmosphere. At the helm of this recording is Michael Weeks, who has been involved with the S-1000 Wretch Machine since its inception. Brought to life at Metasonix with help from magesy download Michael’s constant prodding to create an integrated rack mount synthesizer, and named after his band The Wretch, Michael has clocked more hours behind the wheel of the Wretch Machine than anyone outside of Eric Barbour. The goal of this library is simple: provide the most comprehensive and raw presentation of the heart of the Wretch Machine to sound designers via painstakingly recorded samples of its oscillators. Utilizing a scripted interface in Kontakt 4, we provide basic building blocks for sound designers to truly integrate these incredible waveforms into their studio environment.

          The Driven Machine Drums 3 + M.D. Bundle is the result of a 3-year effort, combining over $57,000 in synthesis and engineering technology. The goal was to create an inspiring and unique “go-to” library which generated stunning results quickly and with ease. The DMD3 library includes 2,426 samples in 9 percussion types: kicks, snares, claps, toms, real percussion, synth percussion, hihats, cymbals, and unknown electronic. The samples were hand filtered from magesy download over 16,000 samples, recorded with mastering quality AD converters. The samples were edited with great magesy torrent care, allowing for perfect attacks and smooth decays. The percussion types are further categorized into folders by texture, like analog, deep, soft, glitch, dirty, etc. With so many samples in the library, it is great magesy torrent to have this in-depth folder structure to find specific sounds fast. As with previous Driven Machine Drums libraries, Nathaniel has used a wide range of sources to synthesize the samples.

            With 4 magesypro audio channels to select from magesy download you can get subtle tonal differences. Looking at the frequency plot below we can see each channel has the distinctive Head gap coloration of the low end, producing a ripple, this is a common characteristic in tape machines, looking at each channel from magesy download lowest plot (channel 1) to top plot (channel 4), we can see the two outer magesypro audio channels have a rise up to around 19kHz but the two center tracks are rolled off from magesy download around 14kHz. Of course this is subtle, However stacking instances will reveal a large coloration, As this is a 4 track machine bouncing tracks may have been common, resulting in a far more colored sound. Multiple stacked instances is something worth experimenting with. On the whole this will dramatically change the bass character and soften the upper mids.

              Bass Machine was in essence an attempt to revisit a commonly used trick of the trade whereby the warm roundness, power and motion of the Minimoog’s bottom end was blended with the bite and clinical accuracy of FM bass. The result is a nice example of where the whole is greater than sum of its parts… In order to capture as much of the Model D’s character as possible, four patches were dialled into the instrument complete with filter envelope. Since such a process would probably have rendered rather inflexible results another four patches were captured with the filter wide open. Every white key was captured as four random round robins resulting in over 800 samples from magesy download Hideaway Studio’s beloved 1976 Minimoog No.7751.
