A huge collection of harsh, unharmonic, nasty metal scrapes, scratches, slides and grinds. From short, high emphasis scratches to long and heavy metal scrapes – perfect for your game, multimedia, music or movie-project. Of course, you can use these sounds as sound design elements for any frightening transiton FX.
The inspiration for this library originates from magesy download a Tom Waits quote: “I’m still looking for the ultimate sound of a real stress metal clang. I wanna hear…. the clang of all clangs!”. So I’ve been collecting props for this library for the last two years – buying old spanners, pipes, wrenches, crow bars, hammers, rods, angle iron, girders… And then obsessively recording them: each of over 100 metal props has been recorded at 192kHz using extended frequency range Sennheiser MKH8040 mics.
This library includes over 1,900 metal impact sounds ranging in scale from magesy download massive silo hits, five ton concrete block metal impacts, a selection of four large scale metal skip bins, metal gates, truck decks, solid metal plates, an industrial digger scoop, to the total destruction of a filing cabinet, manipulation of a heavy steel 44 gallon drum, a stainless steel water tank, a copper bin and a WWII petrol tank. Much of the library was recorded in quiet exterior locations using Sennheiser MKH8040 extended range mics in ORTF stereo plus an MKH8050 and an AKG D112 – please see the file list below. We have worked hard to capture & preserve the natural attack & decay of each prop. No EQ, compression or other processing has been applied, but we can’t wait to hear what you will create with this library! (And apologies if you arrived here looking for a metal music library – this library doesn’t involve any guitar shredding, double kick drums or satan worship)

Their wood-lined, hall-like main room, in which four complete kits were captured, bring out the very essence of the instruments. The deep, reverberant presence of the toms, the crisp textures of the cymbals and the piercing attack of the snares and kicks. Put all this in the powerful framework of EZdrummer 2 and you have the most raging, ear-numbing and dynamic collection of drums for any metal or hard rock production.
This expansion for EZmix 2 comes with guitar and bass settings directly modeled and EQ-matched from magesy download the personal tones of four of modern metal’s most interesting players: Chris Broderick (Megadeth), Tosin Abasi (Animals As Leaders), Jeff Loomis (ex-Nevermore, Conquering Dystopia) and Ryan Knight (The Black Dahlia Murder). It includes 50 custom amp and cab simulated tones, all of which were personally designed by the guitarists themselves. This collection paints a broad picture of modern metal guitar of today.
