When we first started working on a fun ReFill based on the Stylophone we recorded it for sampling purposes: we sampled this little toy note by note. Besides programming a patch that matches the real thing we also tweaked the NNXT to go some extra steps. Some fat funky clavinet-style patches caught us by surprise. While producing the Stylofunk mini track (apart from magesy download the loop it´s entirely based on Stylophone samples) we added lots of extra cool stuff to this ReFill: a “single-sample-Rhodes”, a “single-sample-Piano”, a “single-sample-Kalimba” and a lot of other nifty stuff…
The ReFill project Salad Bar showcases a choice of many fine patches one can find in all our ReFills. Together they form a magnificent collection of patches brought together in this ever growing ReFill since in future many patches stemming from magesy download the upcoming ReFill range will also be added to Salad Bar. And in this way Salad Bar versions 2, 3, 4 et cetera will be created. Every time when a new Soundcells ReFill will be released, Salad Bar will get its next update! Besides this we will also add lots of unique Salad Bar only patches. The Salad Bar backdrops will show you which patches are coming from magesy download which ReFills. In modern molecular biology, the genome is the entirety of an organism´s hereditary information. It is encoded either in DNA or in case of this fine ReFill it´s the AMIGA1200 encoded in Reason´s NNXT samples. The AMIGA1200 (code-named ‘Channel Z‘) with it´s 8-bit Paula chip was extremely popular among producers all over the world in the early nineties. Using a specific trick it was possible to make recordings at 14-bit. Digital Genome picks up the thread where we left with bitBUMPER with it´s funky, housy and spacy lo-fi character! Warm, gritty, sleezy, dangerous and nostalgic are the keywords. This ReFill can be used as a full workstation since everything the old AMIGA had to offer is in there: basses, keys, lead synths, warm pads and enough drums and percussion to eat your heart out. And let´s not forget the wonderful FX section! The 200+ Genome combinators are conveniently built up with the right button functionality. Electric Strummer Reason Refill is an NN-XT sound library that bridges the gap between keyboards, tube amps, and electric guitar. It uses AW’s patent-pending G-Mapping, which allows the user to literally strum guitar chords on any MIDI keyboard with the included nylon guitar pick so you play killer leads unlike any other guitar sample library! ChromaVibe patches use Chromatic Morphing Harmonics, fueled by over 300 premium, 24-bit samples with up to 21 different alternating samples per note. Each guitar sample starts out as a tube-driven electric guitar note, then using a special guitar technique, pitch-shifts with each alternating note literally evolving into its relative harmonic with real guitar vibrato. You can simultaneously combine chromatic leads in the same patch via Reason’s NN-XT Advanced Sampler.
