We’re proud to present the first samplepack in our Utilities Collection, featuring loops and samples created from magesy download live shaker percussion that has been sonically manipulated to create an array of unique textures and rhythms, designed to breathe life to in the box productions. The sample pack contains 15 sub folders and over 200 shaker percussion loops and samples in total, all locked at 120Bpm and available to download in Apple Loops, Rex2 and 24 Bit Wav for ultimate flexibility. All the loops and samples are presented in their raw recorded form, with multiple mic positions and layered loops for different spatial effects, as well as in their manipulated form. This unique collection of shaker percussion loops and samples brings new sonic dimensions and rhythmical elements to your music, and breathes life into an all digital production.

Perhaps the most unusual instrument ever created by the percussion company J.C. Deagan Inc., Shaker Chimes were invented by John Calhoun Deagan in 1900. Also known as Organ Chimes, they are one of the rarest Deagan instruments, with only a few dozen sets still known to exist. Deagan claimed his organ chimes to be “universally conceded as being the greatest novelty instrument ever invented.” Indeed, they were popular among vaudeville musicians during the early 1900s, though they ultimately failed to create a significant market niche for themselves. Although called a “novelty” instrument, Shaker Chimes can produce a wide range of beautiful and unique sounds. A single Shaker Chime consists of four bell metal tubes mounted in a frame. The chimes hang on a floor rack and are played by striking or shaking them by hand. Or they can rock back and forth via their own centripetal motion, creating lush harmonic soundscapes. Shaker Chimes are based on the Indonesian bamboo angklung, but the timbre is altogether different due to their bell-metal construction. This massive collection of over 1,000 samples and loops is everything you need for authentic natural sounding shakers and tambourines. We have covered everything from magesy download inexpensive plastic egg shakers to high end orchestral tambourines. Bright and present to dark and trashy with everything in-between. All samples were recorded and mixed by Jonathan Roye using vintage Neve 1081 and API mic preamps along with vintage ribbon and condenser microphones. The idea was to make them sound as natural as possible just as if you were in the room yourself. With a combination of direct, overhead and room mics we were able to capture authentic sounds that are pliable and realistic in your track.
