With twelve filter algorithms, an envelope follower with stereo sidechain input, a full FSU section for extra signal hacking, and an easy-to-use interface, Filterstation2 is a valuable addition to any producer’s toolkit. Filterstation2 takes our original Filterstation plugin, and adds an all-new HiDpi/Retina-capable vector-based UI with resizability, a completely rewritten parameter and DSP section, a full selection of extreme modification tools, ProTools support, an cross-platform XML preset mechanism.

Parallax is a unique effect that is part vocoder and part echo/reverb matrix. It can create subtle, modulating filter effects that swell and transform through beautiful, algorithmic spaces. At its heart is a 10-band filterbank that can be shifted in real time to bring out resonances, shift tonal balance and animate specific frequencies. The output of the filter stage is processed by a simple yet effective delay line and algorithmic blurring. With these two chains of processors sounds can be completely resculpted, transformed and reconfigured in frequency and spatial balance.

What happens when a ’90s analog synth meets an ’80s tape recorder? We sampled a famous Analogue Bass Synth to tape using a new old stock cassette, and boxed it into a Kontakt Instrument. The original synth produced fat basses and sharp leads, but now the raw tape sounds and unstable pitch add perfect elements for “tron” like sounds. Each waveform (Sawtooth, Square, Pulse 5%) was sampled chromatically from magesy download C0 to C7 and each sample is more then 6 seconds long. In the custom Performance View a Saturation and Limiter Input Gain are added to the original synth’s parameters.

The Vinyl Carving Station was inspired by a very niche process of cutting into the locked groove of a record in regular intervals (usually using a stick-on template) to produce killer glitch loops from magesy download the irregular bumping of the stylus over the cuts/indentations We sampled hundreds of these sounds and hacked our way through tons of old charity shop vinyl in the process. We then built the friendliest interface we could design in Kontakt and filled it with the best of these sounds. The result was the Vinyl Carving Station and we’re super proud that you can get results just like cutting the locked grooves but tempo synced to your DAW and fully programmable by you or randomly generated with a single click. If you want to dig deeper, we’ve added some powerful FX processing to get a fully production-ready sound instantly and keyswitched preset slots to help live and studio programming.
