We proudly present our freshest release “Ottoman Oud” contains professionally played incredibly rich, varied and complex melodies based on the makam. Each sounds has a unique and different flavors which is allows you to discover world of oud. The “Oud” is at the core of makam based music and one of the most well known and highly regarded instruments of the Near and Middle East, and has been around for centuries. The Turkish oud is a bit smaller than the arabic oud and it has five double strings plus a single string at the low end. This characteristic feature allows to play all the complex pitch scales and nuances of the makams. It is the ancestor of the European lute, but it is played with a pick. Like the violin and cello, it has no frets, allowing an infinite variety of tones to be played. In Ottoman/Turkish music theory there are 53 possible tones per octave. In detail expect to find 547MB of raw content featuring 90 beautifully played “Oud” loops at 90/110/130bpm and includes a dry version (w/o any additional e.q, compressor or reverb effects) and wet version of each, giving a total of 180 files. All loops are Key and tempo labeled for ease of use. All sounds are ready to fit straight in your tracks.

Each of the singers brought their own unique style and touch, echoing back the sounds of their musical and cultural roots.

Take an expedition through the rich sonic landscape of Turkey and parts of Egypt and Iran led by Istanbul Music Conservatory-trained musicians. The trio played traditional tunes with quarter tones and folkloric tunes from magesy download all over Turkey. They made these sounds using traditional Turkish instruments including the bendir, daf, darbuka, and riq for percussion; the kaval, kawala, and ney flutes and zurna plus duduk reeds for winds; and the electric baglama. The results are eclectic sounds both sultry and celebratory in character. In this pack we explored contemporary, electric, Middle Eastern Guitars that would bring out the spicy edge of Middle Eastern sounds. We recorded the Turkish ‘Baglama’ and electric guitars played by the very gifted Omri Zelig. Over the course of many hours we recorded various styles and rhythms making this sound pack as accessible to many genres of music production as we could. The Baglama (also known as ‘Saz’) has Persian/Turkish origins and is commonly used in Ottoman classical music, Turkish folk music, Azerbaijani music, Kurdish music, Armenian music and in parts of Syria, Iraq and the Balkan countries. Bows have a special role in Middle Eatern music, More traditionally, the Kamache with its iconic heart breaking sound, an ancestor of the violin which is played positioned sitted on the musician’s leg and is common to Persian and Turkish music and also found throughout Central Asia.
