Synthesizer Workhorse with Stripes
Zebra is our wireless modular synthesizer. It combines many different types of synthesis with a powerful modulation engine. Imagine – you can create any additive, freehand or spline-based waveform you like, apply a vast selection of spectral effects, morph between those waves and send them through classic synth filters. Perhaps use that entire sound as modulator for an FM oscillator, or route it through a comb filter – the building block of physical modeling synthesis. All generator modules, all signal paths, all effects are stereo.

Battery Leak is a collection of 64 instruments inspired by the crunchy-smooth character of DCO synths such as the Roland Alpha Juno and dense digital timbres reminiscent of PPG wavetables, upgraded with a modern edge via Zebra’s oscillator capabilities ranging in tones from magesy download detailed multi-PWM, rich hard-sync sounds and silky superwaves to solid EDM/rave with borderline chiptune crunch. Hard to define really… basically you’re getting a diverse yet coherent, multi-range EDM orientated collection with a fair dose of niche and character. Also, the overall sound would be more like bright, digital and opened, rich in harmonics rather than heavily filtered, a little on the aggressive side but without sounding harsh, too hyped-up or distorted.

Deep Space is inspired in the vast and wide deep space full of alien galaxies, black holes, fast rotating quasars, nebulaes and the time and space before the big bang and after the big bang. This soundset is formed by atmospheres that reminds extremely big spaces and far away event horizons accompanied with alien voices of planets with dense, warm and acid atmospheres. Celestial for Zebra is conceived for cinematic electronic music with a light and ethereal feel. Some of the sounds have an old style tape delay effect, adding a melancholic and fluttery character thanks to Zebra’s modular delay while other sounds have a smooth distortion adding an old vintage feel. As an extra Celestial emulates characteristics of the early days of polyphonic hardware synths using Zebra’s duophonic mode. Celestial is formed by smooth analog and emotive sounds, Berlin school sequences, cinematic uplifting arpeggios. Analoge mono leads for skilled pianists as well as large polyphonic atmospheric leads and pads. Powerful and heart touching orchestral sounds using organs, flutes and hybrid synths. Old and subtly distorted classic synths as well as avant garde synths. Indescribable and mystical soundscapes and cinematic transition effects. Hard hitting one-shot percussion sounds and low end bass sounds.

This pack is made for people who want to take their music and sound design to the next level, it contains 50 sounds that are very complex and use all different kinds of modules in Zebra. Having years of synth experience I really tried to take it up a notch to provide patches that are not out there yet. And Zebra is the perfect synth to do so. All 50 patches have the most useful parameters assigned to the X&Y Pads, which means that each patch contains a huge amount of additional sounds that you can modulate. This way you can use the sounds straight away in your production, but they are also great magesy torrent for learning. If you dive deeper into the patches you’ll see a great magesy torrent amount of synth tricks that are not commonly used, you can take these ideas and apply them to every synth out there.

A year ago, I was working on my very first feature film score, a hugely enjoyable, independent British, horror comedy called The Snarling. The soundtrack has recently been mastered for release, so I thought it would also be fun to make the synth sounds I designed for the score available too. The Snarling soundset contains synth patches for Zebra2, ZebraHZ and Massive. There are 100 each for the two Zebra synths and 50 for Massive, totalling 250 patches.
