CompX-Wave is modeled after boutique compressors that cost thousands of dollars like Empirical Labs’ “Distressor”* or Elysia’s “Mpressor”*. You know, fat, wild and extreme compressors designed to sculpt your sound. But CompX-Wave is not a one-trick pony. It does extreme sound processing – and some of its tricks are a bit weird thanks to the on board Waveshaper – but it does much more. Softened vocals; in-your-face basses, creamy pianos, mangled drums, and distorted synthesizers are all in its skill set. While designed for use on individual tracks, CompX-Wave can also work like a champ to bring life to full mixes.
